The Brief
Gulf Scientific needed professional coverage of its presence at ArabLab 2025.
The coverage needed to show the booth, team, meetings, visitor conversations, technology displays and exhibition atmosphere. The goal was to create a strong visual record of the event while also producing useful content for online platforms.
The final images and video were planned for:
LinkedIn
Website use
Social media posts
Event recap content
Internal brand archive
Future exhibition marketing
For a multi-day exhibition, this type of coverage helps a company show its presence clearly during and after the event.
Capturing an Active Exhibition Booth
Exhibition coverage moves quickly.
Important moments can happen without warning. A key visitor may arrive at the booth, a team member may start an important product conversation, or a meeting may happen naturally during a busy part of the day.
For this project, I worked as one hybrid photographer and videographer. This required careful timing, fast switching between photo and video, and a clear understanding of what mattered most for the client.
The focus was to capture the booth naturally without interrupting meetings or making conversations feel staged.
Coverage included:
Booth-wide photos showing Gulf Scientific’s presence at ArabLab
Team portraits and group photos
Natural candid moments
Visitor meetings and conversations
Machinery, technology and scientific equipment details
Branded booth details
Client and visitor interviews
Video footage of the booth atmosphere
Daily exhibition activity
Spontaneous moments between the team and visitors
This style of event photography and videography in Dubai is especially useful for exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and corporate activations.
Same-Day Photo Selection
For exhibitions, speed matters.
A selection of around 10 photographs was delivered on the same day. This gave Gulf Scientific fresh content to share while ArabLab was still taking place.
Same-day delivery is useful for:
LinkedIn updates
Instagram posts
Event stories
PR communication
Team sharing
Real-time exhibition visibility
For multi-day events, early delivery helps the client stay active online during the event, not only after it ends.
Final Photography and Video Delivery
The final delivery included a larger collection of colour-adjusted photographs and a one-minute exhibition highlight video.
The highlight video was created to show the booth, team, visitor activity, meetings, interviews and overall atmosphere of Gulf Scientific’s participation at ArabLab.
A compressed version of the video was also prepared for website and LinkedIn use.
The final content gave Gulf Scientific a professional visual record of its ArabLab presence, from booth activity and technology details to team moments and visitor engagement.
Why Hybrid Coverage Worked for This Project
For this ArabLab project, hybrid photo and video coverage was the right approach.
The schedule was planned across 10 hours over three days. This allowed enough time to capture different moments across the exhibition, including quieter setup-style shots, busy booth interactions, team photos and interviews.
Hybrid coverage can work well for exhibition booths when:
The booth activity is steady and manageable
There are no multiple stages happening at the same time
The client needs both photos and a concise highlight video
The schedule gives enough time across the event days
The coverage style is natural and flexible
For larger stands, live demonstrations, stage presentations or events with many things happening at the same time, a bigger team may be recommended.
The right crew size always depends on the event structure, venue size, timeline and final deliverables.
Selected Work
Planning Exhibition Coverage in Dubai
Every exhibition has different priorities.
A smaller booth may need focused coverage of team interactions, product displays and visitor conversations. A larger stand may need multiple photographers or videographers to cover meetings, presentations, demonstrations, interviews and social media content at the same time.
Before booking exhibition coverage, it is helpful to plan:
Event dates and timing
Booth location and stand number
Important team members
VIP visitors or partners
Product demonstrations
Interview opportunities
Key moments in the event agenda
Required photo and video deliverables
Same-day content needs
Final use for website, LinkedIn, Instagram or PR
Clear planning helps the photo and video team capture the right moments without over-covering or missing important details.
